I'm an idiot.
(I thought I'd get that out the way early before anyone else beats me to it)
I backed up some data using a tool on SME Server that creates a RAR archive on one of my desktops. I then had a batch job running on the desktop (Windows XP) which FTP'd the RAR archive to my Swiftel web space.
Unfortunately, I forgot to specify binary mode in the batch job and I think it defaulted to ASCII. Now, when I download the archive, the RAR file appears corrupted (no header data).
I tried repairing the RAR archive which got me some files but many more files claimed CRC errors. If I suppress those errors Iall I get is empty files.
Any ideas on how to recover the files?
Thanks,
Allan
