Hi All,
Got a bit of an odd problem here, with the problems Swiftel (Telstra) have been having over the past day or so for some reason when the connection goes dead the ppp daemon on FreeBSD doesnt recognise this.
Basically the modem looks like everything is ok, all lights are on and working properly except the recieve light which indicated nothing as its not getting any data.
my ppp.log file says that its still connected, and continue;s to say this even after rebooting the NB1300 (turn power off, count to 10 and turn it on again).
Basically I have to kill ppp and restart it to reconnect which isnt very good if i'm not onsite !!, would anyone know how to fix this or know a way around it ??
