Any help ed to get connected using Mac G4 & OS X 10.2 with Billion 743 GE much appreciated.

you may not find so much help for the billion but there should be a reasonable amount. However a way around any problems is to use the netcomm nb1300+4 userguide pdf (about 50 odd pages) and avaliable from netcomm.com.au (i guess) which has default settings appropriate for here (you will have to change these).
Billion, web excel, netcomm are all using the same conexant chipset. As a consequence, the user interfaces do not vary a great deal. Mostly the same features with slightly different names or implimentations. To save trouble you may want to stay with the default IP's eg. netcomm use 192.168.1.x, whereas web excel use 10.0.0.x.

I have found 10.3.2 to be a tiny bit flaky on a tiny LAN when DHCP set to auto and have set DHCP to configure auto and manually. I have entered an expected address for my machines and the router etc (within a certain range) and I guess they just verify that what I have chosen is appropriate.
