I have an Emac G4 running 10.2.8 thru an Alcatel
Speed Touch Home.
Using the ethernet connection.
all I get is Authentication Failure. it was working fine until i moved. i have 2 green showing on the modem.
any help much appreciated

What do you mean by this? You moved to a different residential address or room?

MOved houses.
paid $100 to swiftel for the change.
called tech support "we dont support macs or alcatel"

Ok, just checking - did you change the login name and password on your modem? Did you check for link lights etc?
It shouldn't matter if you're using a Mac or PC or whatever provided you can still communicate with the modem and change any necessary settings. Your computer should just obtain an IP address from the SpeedTouch if it runs a DHCP server.
If you are using OS X, it is possible to login using the Mac over PPPoE rather than saving the info in the modem.
Anyway, just make sure you have a working connection first.

I changed the password and username to the new ones they provided. I am seeing the correct lights on the modem.
Is there a setup guide? I would like to check my settings.

Trashed the Location and opened a new Location reentered all the details and connected first time.
