Your fastest apt-get speed

Just curious what the fastest other people get using apt-get in Debian. It seems the max I get is 163kB/s and that's pretty steady. Not bad for a 1500kbps line. Back in the days when I had ADSL through iPrimus 3 years ago I was lucky to get 150kB/s.

Also what mirror? Mirror.aarnet has always traditionally been the best as far as speed goes (especially on Optus@Home), though lately it seems to have become outdated. Meanwhile ftp.wa.au.debian.org is giving me the full 163kB/s while being more up-to-date.

I'm on 512/128 and I get a pretty steady 52KB/s from Aarnet.

I forget what I got from the Monash mirror, but I'm sure if it was slow, I'd remember. ;)

I use the internode mirror (im on internode adsl)

i always get 150 from it.. and if not i got the PIPE 3fl mirror on backup :P
