View Full Version : How Do I Connect The nb1300 To The USB Port?

My desktop XP machine is connected directly to an NB1300 modem via an ethernet LAN connection.

I want to connect my laptop via USB (as it doesn't have an ethernet card). I understand that the NB1300 should allow both machines to be connected simultaneously.

Can I use the USB cable that was supplied with the modem (assuming that it is a "normal" USB modem), or do I need a "crossover" USB modem?

I have never personally heard of a "USB Crossover Cable" or a "Crossover USB Modem".

I think what you are referring to is that you want to use the dual connections on the modem in which case you have to use a "Crossover LAN Cable" and as well as a "Normal USB Cable".

Your nb1300 is supplied with a USB cable. for direct connection to a USB port.
