Help please with Xbox live connection speeds

got hooked up to Swiftel yesterday on the 512/128 plan. Everything seems alright but by checking connection on xbox is says 369/68 speed. Everything lags massively making it unplayable! have i done something wrong in set-up? other ideas?

Two things.

1. Don't trust the Xbox's speed tester, it's basing that through routing the data to the US. Too far to do a proper test.

Try this Australian one for a proper test:

2. It might be laggy if you are playing with Americans, too far again. Try getting on to Australian Xbox Live forums to find more Australians to play with like:
