Can anyone tell me what the correct procedure is to get swiftel to route my APNIC assigned subnet to my static IP address.

I have logged a call and despite the auto-reply assurances that a 4 business hour response time is targeted, nothing has happened since I logged the call yesterday afternoon.

Possibly:

grovelling...

Avoidance of their sales people...

and delivery of beer/pizza/donuts to the most friendly technician you can find there.... :)

Unless of course you want to pay standard rates for it.

Thanks for the suggestions... all seem perfectly reasonable

Just got notification to say that the call has been closed and all should be ok; was waiting for it to start working before closing this thread off.

Cheers

I also am waiting for my ip's... which were supposed to be ready BEFORE my adsl conxn... nope... I have adls for a bit now... no ip's... no domains... no mail... no nothing... UggghhI would resort to bribery (pizzas) and such but I am on the opposite side of the country....

:p

Did you ring tech support? They can prolly do some on the spot, or similar.

tried all sorts of stuff... one department blamed another (how that werks i'm not sure) and then they started pointing to these upline BGP providers.... and that it was out of their hands... but that was almost a week ago... they said it would be done in 48 hours (again that was 5 1/2 days ago that they said this)

bummer... sorry to hear you having these problems.

I got my /30 subnet quickly after a phonecall, though I've yet to actually test that routing properly (in last 10 days).
