On the 17-11-2003 I downloaded some nice lesbian pics ;) from the Sydney news server and it came up as internal... about 50meg. Ive done more on previous days but I cant remember the exact amounts of download

news.syd.swiftdsl.com.au was what I connected to.

"Yes its free to NSW people only. "

Is that the news.syd.swiftdsl.com.au or just the straight news.swiftdsl.com.au or both?

Seeing as QLD has just come online and we use the Sydney news feed is the news server free for us as well or only for NSW customers?

If it isn't free are there plans to have a news feed for each state so traffic is free?

Cheers Al

Hi,

The Sydney news server is free traffic for NSW people only.

#### CORRECTION ##### It is free for all swiftdsl customers.

There are no immediate plans to put a news server in each state.

I belive WA people can use the waix server for free.

ie: nnrp.waia.asn.au. 198.32.212.248

That's a shame...

Browsing the newsgroups, posting, how much usage would that use do you think?

Cheers, Ted.

Is it possible to make the news server free for everyone? It's a bit unfair that NSW gets it for free, while the rest of us have no option but to use that same server.........

Hi,

What do you mean ?

You can use Outlook express, Add a news server Account..

http://www.uncensored-news.com/outlook.html
http://www.helpdesk.tsn.cc/news.asp

use the server name news.swiftdsl.com.au with no login details.

Or you can use any other news reading software, there is a list in another thread.

Regards,

Richard

You still should have Outlook Express installed. Failing that create a new news account in outlook - should be very similar to creating a new email account.
