Setting Up The nb1300

Hi, I am a new member and I have not had too many problems getting my conection and email etc. Although I have a question about the way I have set up the Netcomm NB1300. I noticed that there are a few different setup options and I was wondering if anyone knows which is best.

I am currently running through a usb connection, but I have the option to run it as an eithernet gateway router.

Any ideas?

The book that came with the NetComm modem is the best place to get answers to these questions.

One the first point, if it is possible to use the RJ-45 network port instead of USB then do this, as it requires no software (thus you remove one layer of potential problems).

Re the other questions, I am just using a "stock standard" setup, using only the essential entries in the "basic admin screen" of the modem admin screen (ie user name and password, DNS etc). Keep it simple - don't ry to set it up as a bridge or anything like that (that's my advice anyway...)
