Does anyone know how to backup xbox games as when I try I am only able to see a video file and when I try to copy the disc it only reads the video and not the game.
Ps. This is legit as I want to backup my existing collection as my sister scratched one of my games last night and it no longer works.

i don't know if this may help or not, but for my friend to back up xbox games, he had to network the xbox to his computer then burn a copy.
I find it easiest to install a modchip, network with a computer then copy the game to the Xbox's hard disk.

My XBOX currently has the software mod (I think using the font xploit) but I am looking at gettin a mod chip instead.
What mod chip does everyone recommend?
I've always been a fan of the Xecuter modchips. Their latest one being the 2.3 Pro and Lite chips (pro has more features yet costs more).
I'm waiting for the new Xecuter v3.0 which should hopefully come out in Feb - should have some fairly cool features. But of course, all the modchips on the market at the moment do basic stuff, play games off hard disk etc.

or copy straight to you xbox hard drive best option games run faster no pile of discs etc you what I have is a 200 Gb hard drive in my xbox & I just put the game in & copy staight to the hard drive on the xbox using a program called boxplorer you can copy delete make folders see how much space is available etc with boxplorer youll have to have a modchip I went with the apple X3 wich you can turn on or off witch you have to be able to do if you want to go on xblive
Just as an aside I had an issue with a couple of XBox games that were scratched and was told by EB and Video Ezy they could not be repaired. However a well spent $80 on a portable machine from http://www.diskdoctor.com.au/home.htm has fixed the games.
