frequent packet loss

Is anyone else out there experiencing frequent packet loss with their swiftel connection?

a ping to www.swiftdsl.com.au is getting a 5% packet loss anytime throughout the day/night. External pings are higher.

Yes! maybe not to a swiftel site but packet loss has been terrible elsewhere for the past week or two.

But apparently its not Swiftels equipment so we just have to cop it :/

Yeah, i've noticed that i get about 4-5% packet loss on a basic ping.

Here are the results from a 1000 count ping to www.swiftdsl.com.au from my unix firewall.

1000 packets transmitted, 955 packets received, 4% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max/stddev = 17.675/23.203/682.585/29.619 ms
