changing email accounts

Hi I have gone from bigpond to eftel, my email is ++++@telstra.com can I set my email account in outlook express to go straight to telstra.com to get my emails ? have tried setting pop 3 to mail.telstra.com but keep getting error message any help ? sorry new to all this
