Quick setup connection about Static IP

I am set to get my line activated next Tuesday.

Anyway, I did receive an email from Swiftel informing me of my password, however I haven't been allocated an IP yet. I assume that this will be done when then line is actually activated?

Also, config looks pretty easy. Just one question, should I set the IP that I get in the ifcfg-ppp0 file?

I never actually needed to do this.

I just left mine as dhcp and it picked it up fine.

I churned form another adsl supplier. On the day I lost my connection. I edited my login details reconnected and all was good.

true, the dhcp will assign it.

no need to input it anywhere afaik, during setup
