I'm so tempted to change to PT for the good value ADSL1 plans.
Put after reading Whirlpool forums, it seems like a dumb idea.
Poor customer service doesn't bother me in the least, as I can sort problems at my end on my own.
My main concern is they are slow. So simply vote YES if you recommend them or NO if you don't or MAYBE if you feel they have occasional problems.

In that case you should be fine. I've been with them on ADSL1 for several years now and have only had one or maybe two minor connection problems. Overall it's been a very smooth service with speed exactly as advertised...
If you have a look at the negative Whingepool PT posts you'll see they are almost all from the same small group of people. I'm not saying they didn't have real problems with PT, just that they seem a relatively few noisy people.
As for the posts about financial status of the company, I'll leave to you make up your own mind on the available facts.
Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for your info, I appreciate anyone sharing anything positive about this company, as these types of comments seem to be few and far between.
I've give my current ISP their 30 day notice yesterday, so I should have another few weeks before I have to make my mind up.
Thanks!

Also, can anyone confirm PT still have free pipe and aren't planning to take it away any time soon?

No free pipe on the 8000 plans, I THINK its still available on the other plans.
