Posting to newsgroups

I am using Netscape 7.2

I am able to view newsgroups without a trouble.

However whenever I try to post I recieve the message.

You have no permission to post {},adsl-10-238.swiftdsl.com.au Goodbye.

I am able to post email, and am using the same smtp account to send both. That is mail.swiftdsl.com.au, without a username.

I tried with a username with same effect.

Do I need to login to post?
This is the only option I can see to change.
