View Full Version : Sending my modem away...

Well, I spoke to Netcomm (they still didn't answer my e-mails after 48 hours, so I called them up by phone) and they said that I should send my modem via registered mail and pay for its way back as well. This might all have been ok, but I'm in Melbourne.

I don't really understand why I should be paying for this (but I'll have to, since I don't have a choice), since it's not my fault I got a faulty modem.

I bought my modem through Swiftel, and I was just wondering, why nobody warned me that I'd have to send my modem away and pay for it if something went wrong. I'd prefer to buy my own modem over here in Melbourne then.

Just my thoughts...

its standard with all warranty claims, you pay for postage to them and they pay for postage back (if its under warranty)

I thought this issue had been dealt with in another thread?

The short answer is that warranty is always provided by the manufacturer irrespective of who you buy it from.

I agree that in the case of DOA or IM it should be treated differently and Swiftel have always tried to do that.

On their warranty repair form it clearly states that the customer is responsible for transporting the product to AND from them.
