Whats the average speed of Swiftel in Newcastle (512)? More specifically in Charlestown/Whitebridge if anyone lives in that area.

Well I live in Newcastle, though I'm on the 1500 plan.
Download speeds for me are good :)

I'm in Linwood Village at Maryville.
ON the 512 as from last week but not working fully yet as I'm having modem issues.

Download speeds eh? Well I havent really benchmarked em as yet, but I do get around the 430's when downloading from www.MP3.com with a download manager program.

Ill get back to ya when I find a test site.

Um that would be bits per second not bytes per second. Big B is bytes, little b is bits.

I got connected now and im getting top speeds - full 56KB/s

I thought that you Newy guys might like to see the speeds I'm getting with my 512/128 connection:

Yeah, I get between 53-56

...dont know how considering 54 supposed to be hightest.

My Downloadtimes ROCK, but my PING to games servers AINT SO ROCKIN.
